The Skeletal System of Mollusca
Most of Mollusca's Skeletal systems are found outside their body. Most animals only contain a shell and no bones inside the body. In a lot of the animals they contain a large foot which allows them to move easily. Slugs and Snails are in the Gastropoda group. This is the most deverse group with about 60,000 to 80,000 species.
A garden snails skeleton is the shell which gives them protection. They lack any kind of endoskeleton because they have soft and slimy body. When the snail feels threatened it's body is retracted into the shell to protect it.

The "Cuttle" part of their name came from their unique internal structure called the cuttlebone. The cuttlebone provides it with buoyancy by changing the gas-to-liquid ratio in the chambered cuttlebone. The cuttlebone is the major thing making them different from squids.

Grey Slugs contain a internal shell which acts as protection. The color of the shell is white. The shape of the shell is oval and thin, slightly convex above, correspondingly concave beneath, and a membranous margin.
